ssshhhhhhhhh don't tell anyone
i'm gonna let you in on some secrets. (don't worry it's nothing great it's just called being honest so i have it for my journal). maybe it will help some of you feel better or maybe it will let some of you know that your not alone!
1. only one tree is up in my house: you may laugh at this, but i love having christmas decorations up and i love having all my trees up and decorated. i usually start as soon as thanksgiving is over. well i put it off to long this year and that leaves me with just one tree.
2. no other real decorations are up: yes i have to confess i still have all my boxes sitting there waiting to be used up and now i'm gonna have to haul them back up the stairs today.(sad)
3. christmas cards not mailed: okay so if you know me your not surprised by this one. i do have them done and my christmas letter written. the hard part for me is getting them addresssed and in the mail.(my goal today)
4. just finished christmas shopping: wow it's crazy out there. this is the first year i've waited this long to finish my major shopping. that won't happen again. just glad it's done!
5. no baking this year: okay you can cringe at this. i'm just not feeling like having all the stuff around the house right now. so i opted out for purchasing our neighbor gifts this year.
6. wrapping not done: ya if you know me this wouldn't surprise you either. every year it's done on christmas eve. what would shock you is that i have started wrapping!
okay so you may or may not be wondering why i haven't fit in the time to do these things. well good question. i'm wondering the same thing. i think some one stole my time!!!!!!!! good theory huh? well i guess life has just been a bit crazier and busier this year. i'm sure it has for everyone. so guess what i'm not gonna stress about it! i've been trying to just enjoy things as i go. i've really had some special moments with different friends and family that have helped me to remember the real reason we celebrate christmas. so as i sit here using my time on the computer instead of the dreaded laundry. i'll wish you all a wonderful holiday! thanks for checking in! love all the comments and people i see that have linked over! so fun and exciting! fun to know that family can get caught up and maybe have a laugh on me. so i'm off to tackle my to do list. and you are feeling better about what you have or haven't accomplished! have a good one!
