christmas journal page 2

okay i'm finally done with my page 2. i actually finished it yesterday. it was just to dark to get a good picture. this one was fun for me to do. it was the weather and what kind of christmas we have. do we like the snow or would we rather not have it. i tried to cut snowflakes out for this. i'm not a snowflake maker! they weren't very pretty. so i improvised and used a die cut on some fabric that i had distressed. i'm loving that distressing powder! the darker snow flakes have it on them. the others are just ink. i cut out some more snowflakes out of paper and used them like a stencil to create a shadow with my ink.

my journaling took up more space than i had planned for so i had to improvise. since my journal is all on a round jump ring they will just hang loose in front of the page. there is journaling on both sides of the long piece and then just the last little bit on the small one. i then made a tage to hang on top of that for the count down.

the journaling reads "after going thru the summers w/ 115 degree weather i look forward to winter time. winter in az. means cooler weather and no A.C. bill! we usually try to get away to the snow once a year. this way we get our fill of snowmen, sledding, and snow fights. yet we can come back home and not deal w/ being snowed in, shoveling walkways, or scraping ice. i love the fact that on christmas day we can spend time outside playing games, riding bikes, and spending time at the park. all without freezing! it doesn't bother me not having a white christmas it's something i've grown to love!"

okay i'm kinda busy with a few projects this week so i may not get caught up right away, but i'm going to continue with the journaling and then do the pages as time permits! thanks for looking and i'm loving this journal. also kelsey has decided to do one also. when she gets her pages done i'll post them.

i'm off to drag out the decorations and start getting things put up. the kids are looking forward to putting up the tree!
