i've been surfing a bit this morning and decided to see what was over at a fancy word for simple. this is the quote i found! we definately do a lot of laughing at our house. i do however have those moments that i'm so caught up in something that i can forget what is truely important. that is when i need to remember this quote the most! i think i might have to paste it on my kids foreheads to remember it though! that way when i'm talking to them i can see it b4 i react to them! hope everyone has a wonderful week filled full of LAUGHTER & LOVE!!!

IT ARRIVED!!!

okay so the may basket arrived safe and sound to kathy! i'm so glad, because there was a dish in there that was fragile! i also received a wonderful email from her today with a huge THANKS!!! i was so happy to hear that she liked it. with everything that i was working on i guess i left my mind somewhere. while i was shopping for fun things to put in her basket i had stuck in my head that she collected "birds". ya no! i went to retrieve her address in my email and reread it and realized that she collected "flowers"! like i said i think i left my mind somewhere! so i was happy to know that she enjoyed it!

so these are the pictures i took in full size. if you go over to her blog she's got some pictures that she took after receiving it today. the smaller treasures are in her photos!

i had so much fun doing this! thanks so much kim kwan for getting me hooked onto marilyn healy's blog. that is where i first heard of the may basket swap being done at artsymama's. which is just so

funny, because when i did the shimmele class in december i remember looking at artsymama's blog and watching her create her christmas book. small world this community! it's been so much fun! i've also found some fun new places to read up on!

i've had a gr8 experience with this! i'm so glad i decided to jump in and just go for it! now aliya and i are waiting for the package to arrive from kathy! aliya has been so excited about this and even carried the package into the post office when we mailed it. she thought it was pretty interesting that we would be sending fun things like that to someone we didn't even know! she should be really excited when we receive something from someone we don't know!

so while i'm here i'll update ya on things around here! aliya, kelsey, and i met colleen, sherry, and michelle and jenna for lunch at sweet cakes. then we had a little bit of retail therapy at the local antique stores! it was so fun to hang with my girls and friends! wonderful relaxing day!

A Peek & Answers

okay so i decided to sign up for a may basket swap being hosted over at artsymama. so excited to be apart of this. i've done swaps b4, but nothing like this one. it will be put in the mail first thing in the morning. it's been a crazy week at our house! i just wanted to give a tiny peek at one of the tags that will be in the basket. it will be surrounded by so many other fun goodies. i really hope kathy likes it! i will post photos after she recieves it. also i'll post photos of the basket she sends me!

okay so it's been awhile since i posted something from a fancy word for simple. so i checked out what they had to day and here it is.

1. FAVORITE SPRING COLOR- right now i'm loving anything that is a bright blue, teal, or turquise!

2. FAVORITE SPRING ACTIVITY- many things- blowing bubbles w/ aliya, sitting outside w/ a good book, park time, and enjoying the flowers!

3. BEST SPRING TREAT- anytime i love a sonic route 44 diet dr. pepper. although loving popcicles, ice water, and fruit!

4. IS THERE A SPRING IN YOUR STEP TODAY? there wasn't this morning. i was tired and grouchy! after i got a quick nap this afternoon i felt much better and had a little bit of a spring in my step. plus creating always gives me a little spring in my step and in my soul!

5. IF YOU WERE A FRUIT, WHAT WOULD YOU BE? yummm i think i would be a mango. only because that's what i love! i will be soooo happy when costco starts carrying them again all sliced up in a bowl!

okay so it's been a LONG, EVENTFUL weekend!!! tying to think where to start!!!!!

1. CK CONVENTION- well this was a blast!!! sandy, michelle, and i each taught classes on friday and saturday! this was after setting up the devine memories booth on thursday. i had so much fun being in the booth and teaching! my class wasn't until 3:10. so it was at the end of the day after most women had been in classes since 8:30. thanks ladies for enduring my class and pushing through! it was a lot to get done in an hour! i think most everyone was able to get it done! so grateful for everyone that was there in the class! it was so much fun! We also had some help from some ladies that were down from illinois. they are from the new line "the paper element" i was able to meet a lot of new people and see people that i haven't seen in a long time! so glad i went, yet relieved it's over.

2. KELSEY- my poor girl. she's endured a lot this past week. she developed a rash last week that looked like hives and her lips and face became swollen. her dad decided to take her to the er. she was pumped full of an iv and a steroid shot and then loaded up on benadryl. we thought that would be the end of it. well it's continued all this past week. i ended up taking her to urgent care on sunday. we left with the dr. telling us he wasn't sure what she was allergic to, but to get her into the allergy specialist or dermatologist. well then yesterday afternoon her poor hands started to swell up and she broke out again. we called the dr. from the allergy place that was on call and she was able to squeeze us in this morning. so we've been there and to the lab. hopefully we'll find out what she's allergic to in a few weeks.

3. KAMERON & CRAIG- well they left this past friday to thatcher for a triathlon. several of the scouts and a few of the leaders (not craig) signed up to participate in this. i got a phone call from craig saying that kameron wasn't able to finish the race. he was almost done with the bike ride when the wind got really bad and he wiped out! he's lucky he wasn't seriously hurt. he has battle scars on his elbow, his knee, and his hip. he was so upset for not being able to finish. the jogging is his strong part. oh well he's home safe and sound!

4. MISS ALAYNEEAH- okay if you were at the devine memories booth at the convention then you might have seen something new. i have decided to start my own little business. "MISS ALAYNEEAH" is the name. i will be selling wood shapes for books and embellishments, vintage finds, funky finds, trims, laces, you name it. i'm in the middle of getting the blog and hopefully etsy shop set up right now. the stuff will also be sold at devine memories. this is something i've been wanting to do for a long time! i'm so excited about it! we had a lot of people excited about the new product at the booth this weekend!

so over the next few days i hope to have up some new links for you! i feel like i can finally breathe a bit easier now! thanks to everyone for all the support and thoughts!

REAL QUICK!!!

okay so i've been at the ck convention all day. dinner and then devine memories.
had to have the neck massage! it was wonderful.
so i just got home about a bit ago (12:30am)
came upstairs thinking i was going to have to get some work
done at a messy desk! NOPE! someone cleaned it for me! then i found this cute
little treat sitting on the arm of the couch. no note just sitting there. not
sure what's for. i'm sure aliya made it! it just made me smile!
so did the clean space upstairs!

i had a blast! it's crazy getting a class done in an hour, but they all did wonderful!
i love teaching! i'm looking forward to tomorrow after some rest!

Mostly For My Journal

so this is one of aliya's favorite books. Moo, Baa, La La La! i've been reading it to her for as long as i can remember. well i was working on convention stuff which she is calling "my project" so she wanted to sit by me and read me a few books. this one was on her list. as we were going
thru the books she would ask me what the animals names were. ummm well as i was naming
them it was easier for me to come up with names that started with the same letter of that
animal. she usually wants me to remember the names that makes it easier
for me! so we got to this picture of the pigs and all 3 of them needed names. the first 3 names that came to my mind were peter, paul, and piper. i think piper because i've been reading
kerry's blog about her new dog named piper.
well needless to say aliya didn't care for those names. so she started spouting of new ones
for these 3 pigs. i had to laugh. they aren't anything i would EVER remember except for
the fact that i wrote them down.

okay so then of course the place for me to keep this stuff to refer back to it is my blog! lucky for you! lately i'm trying to keep track of the fun things they do and say. so who knows you

(and my sister yesterday) i know i haven't posted lately. i've been busy getting ready for the ck convention in mesa next week. looking forward to teaching a fun class! anyways i thought in honor of my birthday i would LOVE to give away a present!!!!! i think it's so much fun giving gifts. plus i've got some really fun things i've been working on. the gift bag i'm going to be giving away will consist of things you'll be able to find from my new company!!!!!!!!!! yes you heard correct. i'm starting up a fun new company. i will be selling stuff at the convention in the devine memories booth. so stop by and take a look at all the fun things. i'm planning a few things to kind of launch off the new company. so look for these things starting after the convention! i will try and post here b4 the convention about this new adventure i'm taking. i'm super excited about it. yet today i'm really excited about the gift i'm going to give away.

IT'S SPRING TIME...

this is just what aliya told me! then she asked me if it was so that i could confirm it for her. now she is running around the house collecting stuffed animals. she's "DECO-LATING" them. she took a pipe cleaner and some beads and made a necklace for her giraffe. she then added some wings we found on one of our shopping sprees. so now she's asking everyone for things to "decolate" becuase, "it makes us happy to decolate for spring"

oh goodness can you say i'm in deep trouble! LOL!!! she's 3 for goodness sake! i'll post pics later of everything she's been makeing today. gotta get back to putting kits together.

guess what this is.

ya take one guess! it's a chunk of aliya's hair! i can't believe i didn't notice it this morning! we were in a hurry to get off to school. plus it isn't very noticeable in the back. thank goodness. i noticed when i lifted her up to put her in the car seat and then i asked her where the hair was. she told me it was under the couch. so we get home and she goes straight to it and pulls it out and says, "here it is" like it's no big deal. my other 2 kids never did this so i was a little shocked, but laughing inside. when i called daddy all he did was laugh and he was the one that was in charge of her when this happened. oh well it will grow back.

okay this is one of aliya's little toy horses. his name is wonderfood! she did a job on his ears though. she cut them off. (may need to confiscate the scissors) she said she didn't like them. she wanted to see what he looked like on the computer. she loves the scanner. she thinks that is so neat. okay so that's a little bit of our day. now i'm off to cut, cut, cut and cut some more. i'm getting ready for ckc in mesa. it's in 3 weeks. hope to see ya there!

wow it's april!!!

okay can't believe how time has gotten away so quickly! well i was surfing around a bit and stopped over at emily's blog again and got this weeks journal starter. "what's on your mind?" i think i could do a whole 12x12 layout about this one right now! as i'm typing it looks like the card might be a bit depressing. hmmm. well it wasn't meant to be. anyways i was just in the mood to play and thought why not stay up for a little bit and do this. i think you can read most of it. it just talks about how i have a lot on my mind. i think that's actually normal for me though. right now these are a few of the things that are swimming around in my head. my kids, friends, my goals, my weight, what next?, my hubby, and being cr8tive. i think it's just one of those days where i'm trying to figure out that balance thing again. this was fun to play with and cr8 though. i think it will be fun to look back at these after the year is over and see all the fun things i've done and said. well it's getting late so i'm going to finish up for tonight and hope that i'll have pleasant dreams on my mind very quickly!
