ENJOY

i am really loving this one word challenge given by ali edwards.
if you haven't signed up for her newsletter then get over there quickly and
do so! you won't be disappointed!

as you know i chose the word ENJOY! i've really been trying to keep this word at
the front of my mind thru the day. i'm amazed at what it can do! i'm really looking
forward to the challenges thru the year based upon this one word!

so i mentioned a little story i was going to share that happened the other night.
i was busy working on putting some class kits together. i was cutting all the ribbon for them.
aliya likes to be around as i'm working. as some of you know she has this huge thing
for anything animal related, real or not!

she sat this dinasaur down right in the middle of my table and started asking me questions
about the name of it being long neck and why it's not long tail also.(she's 3) i was able to continue working while i chatted with her. then she went off to do something else leaving this
long neck right in the middle of my table. now my normal response would've been to toss
it off the table over into her area. well a thought came to me. so i decided to try and
enjoy the moment with her. i tied a little ribbon around it's neck. so when she came
back to get her long neck she wanted to know why the ribbon was there.
at first she didn't like it. i told her i was just making it look cute. so she changed
her mind. so she proceeded to bring me her other dinasaurs. i gave in and tied the
ribbon on them also. then it turned into tyeing ribbons on the little ponies.
okay so my ENJOY was starting to turn into annoy! so i calmly told her
that we would tie more ribbons on later. so she brought me this huge box of all her plastic
animals and said, "mom here you can work on these later!"

it was so fun to do this with her and probably something i wouldn't have done, except
for the fact of that one little word popping into my head!

so if you've hung in with me this long thanks! hopefully you will make the time to find
that one word for you! it will make a difference in everything you do!

ENJOY the rest of your day!
